Waste Haulers Outreach Meeting

Waste haulers operating within the 13 towns of the Alliance are invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Waste Management & Prevention division of the Department of Environmental Conservation on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arlington Common, 3938 Vermont Rt 7A, Arlington, VT. This is a free event and open to haulers of regular trash, recycling and organics as well as those who provide clean-out/dumpster service as a regular part of their business.
Topics covered at this meeting include:
- Review state laws for trash haulers with recycling and food scraps collection
- Provide information on how to collect organics and where to find facilities in their area where they can bring these materials
- Review the Food Scrap Hauler list for those that wish to be listed or to find partner haulers should some trash haulers not wish to provide organics collection services
- Provide information on how to remain complaint with solid waste haulerpermits to ensure a level playing field is maintained among haulers
